The surrounding minor roads are ideal for bicycle tours and trips to well worth seeing destinations such as to the close-by medieval castle town of Blankenheim, Reetz, the valley of the river Ahr, the Nürburgring, the Eifel Nationalpark, the river Mosel, the volcanic Eifel maars, preserves, an amusement park, a waterfall, to the “Naturkundemuseum” (museum of local history) or “Eisenmuseum” (museum of iron) etc.
